Philips Norelco 7310XL Shaver Review

The 7310XL electric shaver is a value-for-money model from Philips Norelco. Despite its low price it has a raft of features that would not look out of place on a much more expensive model – and indeed are used in some of the upper end models from Philips Norelco.

It is aimed at men who want a no-nonsense, good value rotary shaver that goes about its job of giving you a close shave every time. It’s in my top ten shaver list which you can see here.

Appearance and Inclusions

The 7310XL is a streamlined black model, with an easy grip and an electric on/off switch and LED on the front of the handle.

Along with the actual razor you get a cleaning brush, a protective razor head cap and a power cord.

Main Features

  • For a close and comfortable shave the patented 2-blade lift and cut razor system raises flattened hairs so that no hairs are missed.
  • It has 3 comfortable, individually-floating shaving heads which are skin-friendly meaning there will be no rash or bumps on the skin after usage.
  • The Reflex Action System allows the blades to follow the contours of the face and neck to provide a close and irritation-free shave.
  • There is a spring released pop-out beard trimmer which makes it easy to trim sideburns, mustache and goatee.
  • Hair collection chamber that is easy to empty and keep clean.
  • The shaver can be used cordlessly.
  • There is an LED that indicates when the battery is full and has a power indicator

Cleaning and Maintenance

The 7310XL electric shaver is fully waterproof so when shaving is complete all you need to do is rinse it out under the tap. It couldn’t be easier to keep it in the best condition.

This razor retails for around $60 in the high street, but you can save around $20 at Amazon – some people might be surprised this unit makes my top 10 electric shaver list, but for what you pay it packs a real punch.

The 7310XL electric shaver comes with a 2-year warranty and a 60-day money-back guarantee, like all Philips Norelco electric shavers.

User Reviews

The Philips Norelco 7310XL receives generally very positive reviews and people commend its close shave, even in hard-to-reach areas like the neck, comparing it favorably with more expensive shavers.

Of course it doesn’t have the fancy cleaning system, quick-charge option or an advanced LED display system like some of the more sophisticated models but, at this price point, people generally find that they don’t mind rinsing their razor out and cleaning using the brush; they can also work around the other missing features for the sake of saving around $200.
