You may have read reviews of other models in the Panasonic Pro Curve shaver range. This one concentrates on the ES4026NC and we elaborate on the design and functionality features of the unit, as well as taking a look at some of the user experiences.

Listed at $50, but available at less than $30 in some online stores, this is clearly aimed at the less serious user and we would expect this to be reflected in a simpler design and less of the “whistles and bells” of the higher end models. The Vortex has a tall, slim, silver and black ergonomic stem with the pivoted foil shaver head perched on top (2.6 inches W x 6.3 inches H x 1.7 inches D) and it comes supplied with a large black docking station. It also has a pop-up trimmer to be used on the mustache or sideburns.

This is a wet/dry shaver so it can be used in the shower or with foam or gel and also allows quick cleaning under running water if you’re in a hurry. It employs 30-degree Nanotech blade cutting on a triple head design. The head contains 2 arced foils and a center slit and allows movement up and down and back and forth, so it can follow the facial contours and provide a comfortable and close shave with no razor burn or irritation.

The Ion All In One Trimmer from Wahl is a relatively new, mid-priced grooming device for men. We take a closer look at it here, giving you some background on Wahl, specifics about this grooming kit and how it is rated so far amongst users.

Wahl have been making products for home grooming since 1919, so they have almost a century of experience, even though their name is often not included amongst the main brands of electric shaver nowadays. They are known for producing clippers in the professional, animal and home-user areas and have pioneered several new innovations over the years from their HQ in Illinois – such as the cordless home trimmer. Their latest groomer also represents a design breakthrough in that it was the first to use a lithium ion battery in 2009, though this has become more commonplace since.
